The fund’s investment strategy focuses principally on the financial markets of developed economies though some exposure to emerging equity markets could occur. By using managers with complementary growth and value approaches and different size biases, the fund is expected to reduce style, size and sector risk, thus reducing performance volatility relative to the index. The exact allocation will not be solely determined by the MSCI World weights, but will also reflect the Insinger de Beaufort house view on the macro-economic outlook of geographical regions. Because of this extra ‘bet’, the risk-/return profile of this fund will therefore be somewhat higher than that of most of the other multi-manager funds managed by Insinger de Beaufort.
